De Kelders Guest House – New Build: Beautiful new guest house right on the sea in De Kelders, Gansbaai. Modern interior design mixed with industrial edgy finishes
The guest house dining area uses a mix of ghost chairs and black chairs to balance the black window aluminium. The dramatic aqua artwork is a close up of the side of a ship. The pendant lights are made from old round sinks which have been sprayed underneath in a metallic turquoise to pick up the table runner colour.
Dining area leading on to deck and pool with sea and mountain views
The living room was designed in sophisticated blues, greys and turquoises to reflect the sea outside. The large mirror on the far wall was custom made to look like a ship’s porthole and reflects the sea back into the room.
In this modern bedroom design we use industrial style fisherman’s pendant lights in trending brass, alongside brilliant chartreuse finishes in the headboards, ottomans and cushions which sit beautifully against the brilliant blue of the sea view.
This is the metallic room, using modern silver and grey finishes throughout to give a luxurious and glamorous look.
All bedrooms are styled in the same way so that the total space across 3 floors flows, however we have used vastly different colours in each one to give each room its own uniqueness.
The black and white room gives the option of 2 single beds or another king size bed.
