House Renovation Onrus River

This Onrus River House in Hermanus was a complete interior redesign and home extension project.  As you can see from the before and after photographs, we took a tired old space, and with use use of clever design strategy, painting the entire house, remodeling the kitchen and replacing all old fittings and fixtures, we created a light, beautiful and eclectic space.

Kitchen

This kitchen was an MDF, shambolic and tiny space that we designed and renovated into a stunning new open plan room. With Caesar stone countertops, elegant stainless steel handles and easy-to-clean gloss white bespoke built in cupboards, we created a modern and elegant look. By adding a gas/electric combo in the central island, a large corner pantry, built in space for a double fridge and built in wine rack, we created a highly functional space. By putting the whole kitchen on stainless steel feet, it created a feeling of greater floors space, and by putting mirrored wall length cupboards, the reflective light added to the the spacious atmosphere.

Lounge – Before and After

The lounge was a cluttered, dark, brown and beige space with pinkish walls and old beige floor tiles. We started by painting the entire space a lovely off white colour, including the dark stained pine ceilings.  Painting the ceilings lifted the space which immediately looked a great deal bigger.  The sets of window were knocked out, and replaced by a wall of white fold away doors supported by a lintel.
