Interior Stylist Hermanus ~ Pinto’s Rio Home
With all the football going on at the World Cup in Brazil I thought I would show off the fabulous designs of the internationally renowned interior decorator Alberto Pinto whose signature style was eclectic and dynamic oversized patterns and bold color schemes.
Alberto Pinto specialised in big lavish projects such as large yachts, private jets, corporate headquarters and hotels and was renowned for designing for the world’s richest people. Pinto worked in Paris but his background was truly international: he was born in Casablanca to Argentine parents of Italian and French descent. As a child he would to go to Brazil several times a year and he loved the country. He had two homes there, a villa and an apartment in Ipanema overlooking the Atlantic. I am going to showcase some of the gorgeous rooms in his Rio apartment here:
Alberto Pinto’s Rio de Janeiro apartment with a Pinto designed sofa and chrome staircase
In the living room Pinto has used a bold painting by Marc Quinn and animal print cushions made from coats
Side table overlooking the beautiful Cagarras archipelago
A Romulous mirror and Indian print cushions
